College in Budapest in the 11. district

The Collegium Adalbertinum opened its doors in September 2020 under the auspices of the Esztergom-Budapest Archdiocese. Our goal is to make our student hostel a safe, relaxed and motivating environment, which our residents can call their “second home”.

The apartments and spacious common areas have all been designed to meet the needs of the students.

We would like to provide the residents a really good and cohesive community, to fill the walls of the building with life, so they can think back with a good heart to their years in the Collegium Adalbertinum.

As a new institution, we do not have any traditions, so You can be the one who laid the foundations for this!

What does the Collegium Adalbertinum offer to their residents?

  • Perfect location: the Kelenföld Railway Station and transport hub is 500 m from our building, so any university and college in Budapest is easily accessible
  • Safe and calm environment, with a 24/7 reception
  • Brand new building with modern furnitures
  • Predictable costs every month - there are no extra costs above the monthly rent, the prices include every utility fee and the internet use
  • A quiet residential community (students only, 19-24 year is the average age)
  • Corridors and common areas are cleaned daily by our staff
  • Young and helpful leadership

Who do we recommend Collegium Adalbertinum to?

  • Anyone who has been admitted to a university or college in Budapest and is now looking for a secure accommodation in the capital
  • Anyone who doesn’t know the city yet, has no friends here and would love to be a member of a really good community
  • Anyone who has already passed a couple of semesters, but feels that the environment in their apartment is not calm enough for exam preparation, dissertation writing, or anything else
  • Anyone who wants to try what it is like to move away from home or start an independent life

What is necessary to be our residential?

  • You have to be over 18 years
  • Active student status

FAQ

When someone is interested in our college, we often encounter the same questions, so we thought we would answer them in advance to make the decision easier for you too.

Is there a laundry facility in the dorm?

Yes, on our -1st floor there is a Laundry which can be used for an extra fee. The washing and drying machines are equipped with a token dispensing system, for which tokens can be purchased in the dormitory office during office hours for 850 HUF.

Can my partner and I have a common room in the dormitory?

Unfortunately, not! We are a church institution, so we cannot rent out coeducated rooms or apartments.

What is the amount of the deposit?

We have no deposit at all, so you don't have to worry about that.

Can I bring my cat / dog with me?

Unfortunately for the health of the other residents, it is not possible to move in with a pet!

Can I smoke on the balcony of the room?

The balcony of rooms and community spaces is strictly forbidden to smoke, but our garden has a designated smoking place

Do I have a possibility to park my car in the garage?

Yes, a parking spot can be rented in our underground garage, but you can also leave your car on the street, in front of the building. For further information about the renting, please contact us at kollegium@szemik.hu.

Can I receive guests?

Yes, guests can be in the Dorm between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Do I have to get back to a certain time in the evening?

No. We know that all our residents are adults, so we don't want to make any rules restricting access.
